Today, I would like to share this baby quilt that has received a completion report from Japan. Ms. A, who returned to Japan last year, ordered a kit for her second baby. It really made me happy❤️ We did not know the sex yet, so she chose a light gray color with a calm and soft image.
The motif is Ulu (breadfruit) to pray for the growth of the child with a lot of parents' love.
She showed me these photos. She gave birth to a boy safely on March 17th. The baby sleeping on the loving quilt that she worked hard to create is beautiful, just like an angel who has come down.

Hawaiian quilts can be enjoyed by making series of works and making many works of similar colors. Making big quilts is great, of course, but making lots of small ones will also satisfy you.
Who could have imagined a year ago that people all over the world would wear face masks on a daily basis? Everybody already knows wearing it is not special. Vaccination is progressing, but face masks are still requiered.
We can eat in at a restaurant now, and we will take off face mask at the table, but if you want to go to the restroom, you have to take mask out of the bag and mask up again. In such a case, it is very convenient to have a mask holder.

Ten years ago March 11th, the huge earthquake and tsunami that struck eastern Japan killed more than 20,000 people and went missing.
Many people were forced to evacuate due to the accident at the nuclear power plant caused by this earthquake.
The magnitude of the damage caused by this earthquake is still in my mind as an unforgettable memory.
I hear that even as reconstruction progresses, there are still many challenges in cultivating new connections between people in the newly built community.
Due to the effects of the nuclear power plant accident, there are still area where people are unable to return to their homes.
Under such circumstances, an earthquake with a magnitude of more than seven occurred off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture last month.
This earthquake is considered to be an aftershock of the Great East Japan Earthquake. So I can say, the disaster 10 years ago is still going on and is not a thing of the past.
I have no relatives or friends in the Tohoku region, but I dedicate this hula to Japan my homeland, this year again.
