そして今日はパターンをどのようにデザインするのか？というお話をしました。
ハイビスカスのお花を参考に、一人ずつ挑戦！全体像が想像出来ないとおっしゃっていましたが、広げたときに思いがけない美しいラインが出るのもハワイアンキルトのデザインの楽しみかなと思います。人生だって先に何があるかわからないから、ワクワクするように「開けてビックリ！」を楽しんで下さいとお話しました。
Mana explained how to design patterns today. She brought a hibiscus from Anela's garden.
Everybody drew it and cut it, they never figure out the whole design until opening it.
However, it is the point of Hawaiian quilting design, nobody knows about it.
Mana said "Please enjoy the surprise, like your life"
そしてベビーキルトのデザインが一つ決まったので、パターンを作りました。
後はパステル系の布探し。なんでアメリカって微妙な色の布が無いんだろう。。。
Mana made a actual size pattern of baby quilt.
She has to find pastel color fabrics........it's not easy.
