駆け込みで、夏キルト🐚

 ８月も後半になり、常夏のハワイにも少し秋の気配を感じます。

街の中には早くもハロウィングッズが登場し始めてる今になり、急に夏のキルトが浮かんだので、シャドーキルトで１日作業で仕上げました。

本当はきちんとアップリケをしたかったのですが、海のイメージの光沢がオーガンジーで表現できてよかったかも💜です。

ただ、中のキルトはまだ入れていないので、実は完成品ではありません。。。😅

Hawaii is always summer, though, the air is changing autum-like recently.

Halloween goods are starting to appear in the town, but a summer quilt image suddenly came to my mind, so I finished it with a shadow quilting in one day.

I honestly wanted to appliqué properly, but I'm glad I could express the luster of the image of the sea with organdy 💜.

I haven't put the quilting inside yet, so it's not actually a finished completly. .. .. 😅

ツルツルした感じがひんやりするのか、どうもお気に入りみたいです。

本日のキルトはこちらのクッションカバー。ワイキキクラスのCさん２作品めです。

お友達へのプレゼントとして作られました。

座っているときに膝に乗せた手が楽になるような、ハンドレストピロー。

使い勝手を考えて大きさも自由に決められるのは手作りならではです。

きっと喜んで使っていただけますね。はなまる〜！

Today's quilt is this cushion cover that is Ms. C's second work in the Waikiki class.

This is a hand rest pillow made as a gift for her friend.  It is very helpful for putting your hand confortably when sitting. 

Since it is handmade,  the size can be decided considering usability.

I'm sure her friend will be happy to use it. Aloha!

旅の思い出をキルトに

今日はとても嬉しい一日でした。カリフォルニアから遊びに来られたYさんとお嬢さんのMちゃんに久しぶりに会うことができたのです。

ハワイに来られる直前に完成してくださったキルトがこのエンジェルトランペットのタペストリー。とてもオーソドックスで、シンプルなパターンですが、センターのラインの取り方など何度かご連絡をいただきながら仕上げてくださいました。

夏の日差しの中でも映える、素敵なキルトになりましたね。はなまる〜〜

Today was a very happy day. I was able to meet Ms. Y and her daughter M, who came from California for the first time in a while.

The quilt that was completed just before coming to Hawaii is this angel trumpets tapestry. It's a very orthodox and simple pattern.

It's a beautiful quilt that shines even in the summer sunshine. Great work!

そして、ご旅行の前にご相談くださった新しいキットは、ハワイ旅行の記念になるように、Heather Brown の絵画のイメージで作りたいというご依頼でした。

すぐにデザインはできたものの、どこまで布地のアップリケで表現をするか。。。

で、お渡ししたキットはこんな感じ。

ハワイアンキルトではありませんが、ハワイで見た景色を思い出しながら楽しんで作っていただきたいと思います。ご質問、そして完成報告を楽しみにしています！Aloha

And the new kit was a request to make it with the image of Heather Brown's painting for the memories the trip to Hawaii.

Although I was able to design it immediately, how can I express it with fabric appliqué? .. ..

 

It's not a Hawaiian quilt, but I would like her to enjoy making it while remembering the scenery she saw in Hawaii with her family.

ハッピーカラーでハッピーキルト！

 本日のキルトもワイキキクラスのビギナーズキルト、Mさんの完成品です。　以前パーソナルカラー診断をされてから、オレンジを身に付けるように心がけていらっしゃるMさんがファーストキルトに選ばれたのはやっぱりオレンジ。

やっぱり好きな色だと作っているとき途中も、より癒されますね。はなまる〜〜〜

Today's quilt is also a finished work of Ms. M, a beginner's quilt in the Waikiki class.  

Ms. M, who seeks to wear something orange since taking a test of color analysis before,  selected orange as the first .

If you chose your favorite color, you will be more healed during you are quilting.　Great job!
