Sj Dance 2018

本日Santana Row で行われたダンスイベントsj DANCEにHula Club ANELAが参加しました。
４回目の参加となる今年はハワイのロイヤルカラーである赤い衣装に身を包みハワイの主権をテーマにした"Malama Mau Hawaii"を踊りました。全員の心を一つにして。。。。

ライン色々

本日のクラスの完成品はRさんのファーストキルトです。シャープになりがちな寒色系ですが、ご本人の優しいイメージが伝わるような作品になりました。はなまる〜🌼

The completed quilt of today's class is Ms. R's first quilt.  It is a cold color that tends to be cool and sharp, but it has become a quilt to convey her gentle image.  good job!!




こちらは制作途中のKさんのキルト。Honuのキルトラインをお悩みだったので、3種類描いてみましたが、海藻のスッキリしたデザインにマッチする最初にご提案したラインを選ばれました。仕上がりが楽しみです。

This is a quilt that Ms. K is in the process of making. As she had a conflict the quilting line of Honu, I showed 3 types line and she chose one that I suggested matching the design of seaweed. .....looking forward to the finish.

季節を感じます！

本日の完成品。Lehua のKさんの桜です。パターンをカットした時から、可愛い作品になる！と完成が楽しみでした。予想通り可愛くできましたね。はなまる〜🌸

Today's quilt. This is the cherry blossom pattern tapestry which Ms. K just completed it. It's very pretty more than Mana expected when she prepared the kit. Good job !!







そしてこちらはEさんのファーストキルト。サファーのEさんらしく海が似合うキルトになりました。こちらもはなまる〜🌊

This is the first quilt of Ms. E made who is a suffer. The sound of the ocean seems to be heard.

フラのイベントに向けて

Hilo Hawai'i ではメリーモナークが今週行われています。

Hula is the language of the heart, and therefore the heartbeat of the Hawaiian people.

カフマヌ王妃によって禁じられたフラを半世紀後復活させたカラカウア王の言葉です。

今月と来月のイベントに向け練習しているHula Club ANELA、私たちはハワイアンではありませんが、高まる胸の鼓動をステージから届けられたらいいなと思います。メンバー全員頑張っています。お時間がありましたらぜひ見に来てください。
