Merrie Monarch Festival 2022 
This year, only those involved were spectators, but I was happy to see the cheers coming in from the audience. 

After all, it was lonely last year when the stadium was quiet. 

I think the most wonderful thing about this year’s festival was that for the first time, Halau from Kaua’i was crowned the overall winner. 

メリーモナークが終わりましたね。今年は関係者のみでしたが会場から歓声が上がり盛り上がりました😊

初めてカウアイ島のハラウが優勝を果たしというのも大きな結果ですね。

この会場から程近い所にKeaukahaという場所があり、その地を訪れたLena Machadoが作ったKamalani o Keaukaha という曲をYouTube のレッスンで投稿しました。ぜひ、練習してください！

トロピカル〜

 本日のキルトは日本のご実家へのプレゼントとのご要望で作られたウォールハンギングです。

トロピカルな植物のパターンで、できれば縦にも横にも飾られたいというご依頼でしたので、ヘリコニア・モンステラ・ジンジャーをアレンジしてデザインしました！

色味はおすすめカラーの組み合わせ、ブルーとグリーンでとても爽やかです！

Today's quilt is a wall hanging that was requested as a gift to her parents in Japan.

She wanted a tropical plant pattern and  wanted to

display vertically or horizontally.  I arranged Heliconia, Monstera, and Ginger in the design!

The colors are a combination of the recommended colors, blue and green, very refreshing!

虹を渡った人達へ思い馳せる機会が多い今月

この瞬間に世界のどこかで新しい命が生まれ、また空へ旅立っている

自分が最後に見る景色はどんなだろ〜

どれだけの人にI’ll Remember You と言ってもらえるのかなあ

今からの生き方をもっと大切にしよう

This month, I have many opportunities to think about those who have crossed the rainbow.

At this very moment, somewhere in the world, a new life is being born and will take off again into the sky.

I wonder what my last view will be....

I wonder how many people will say I'll Remember You to me

I'll live my life from now on with more and more care

3月26日はプリンスクヒオの誕生日でハワイでは祝日です。
庶民の王子と呼ばれ
ハワイアンからは親しまれています。
クヒオビーチパークにあった邸宅を歌ったWaikiki hulaを踊りました。

愛の溢れる世界へ。。。

もう11年、まだ11年、風化させてはいけないメモリー

原発問題
持続可能な自然エネルギーの世界に向かっていけないのでしょうか

安定供給により、便利で豊かで強い国になるのかも
でも、弱点にもなり脅威にもなって人々が怯える恐ろしい物

今目の前の世界で起こっている事

何ができるのかなぁ

最近教室で人気のテラコッタオレンジ。パターンはアンスリュームなのでハート💛感を出されたいと中心もハートラインでキルトに挑戦されました。

Today's quilt

A jewelry tray as a gift for a friend who is going back to Japan.

The color is terra cotta orange, which has been popular in our classroom recently. The pattern is Anthurium, so the quilter wanted to show heart shapes more and tried quilting a heart line in the center as well.

I think she was pleased with this beautiful gift!
