メモリアルキルト２ Dog memorial 2

メモリアルキルトの第２弾はウォールハンギングに挑戦されるという事で
パイナップル畑をお散歩しているイメージのパターンをご提供しました。
お抹茶色のとても素敵な色で出来上がりが楽しみです。

The second memorial quilt.
I designed the dog is going for a walk in the pineapple field.
The color is very beautiful.
I look forward to finish it.

携帯ケース Smartphone case

ちょこちょこっとスマートフォンケースを作ってみました。
こちらはウルのパターンで、ストラップにはリボンレイをつけてみました。

I made a smartphone case.
This pattern is Ulu with ribbon lei strap.



こちらは一面はホヌ（亀）もう一面はティアレをつけてみました。

One side is Honu(sea turtle), other side is Tiare.

ソーイングケース Sewing case

こちらはサンノゼクラスの２作品目です。
お教室に来るときに持ってくるコンパクトなソーイングケース
というご希望で、単行本サイズのケースです。

This is the second quilt of San Jose class.
They requested me the compact sewing case which they can bring to lesson.



必要なものがコンパクトに収納できるので、
意外と自宅でも重宝するとの事です。

This is very useful to bring sewing set, and also to use sewing kit at home

ベビーキルト Keiki quilt

５月頃フロリダの生徒さんからうれしいご報告
何とお二方がご懐妊されたそうで
早速ベビーキルトのご相談がありました。
パターンのアイデアをいくつか送り
細かい所のご希望を聞いてまたパターンを作り替え

In May, I got a happy news from Florida, two of student become pregnant.
They asked me about baby quilt.
I sent some patterns and asked their hope several times.




そして布地を選び

After they decided patterns, I got fabric which they want.





地直し、裁断、そして送付いたしました。

I ironed, cut and sent it.




先月、Yさんが無事に出産されたご報告をいただきました。

New mother Y gave birth last month.




出産前にキルトがすべて間に合いそうも無いと心配されていたので
とりあえず縁取りの仕上げをされる事をお勧めしたところ
この写真を送って下さいました。
ウルのパターンが大好きな彼女、赤ちゃんへの愛情をいっぱい込めてハートがいっぱい。
そして元気な子になるように、葉っぱが上へのびるイメージというご依頼でしたが
素敵なキルトになりました。

One of them asked me, it's not easier to finish it before birth.
I suggested her to do piping first.
She sent this photo.



育児に余裕ができたら、また少しずつキルトして完成させて下さいね。

When you can make a time, please do quilt little by little.

メモリアルキルト memorial quilt

お教室に来ているYさんの夢は、
以前飼っていらした愛犬のメモリアルキルトを作ること。
是非願いを叶えていだきたいと、参考のシルエットをいただき
いくつかパターンをデザインしてみました。

Madam Y wanted to make a memorial quilt of her dog.
I want her to grant the wish.
I got the silhouette of the dog and designed these patterns.




まずは一つクッションカバーから
夢が広がるとおっしゃっていました。

The first one is pillow case.
She said a dream come true.

一作目 Virgin Quilt

一作目はビギーナーズキットを制作していただいています。

In Anela, everyone makes beginner's kit that I made, as a first quilt.



ハワイアンキルトのパターンで最もポピュラーな
ULU(ブレッドフルーツ)のパターンです。
このデザインはアップリケの基本が勉強できるようなデザインです。
やはり基礎はしっかり身につけたいですね。

from Florida class

The pattern is Ulu(breadfruit) which is the most popular pattern of Hawaiian quilt.
You can learn basic line of appliqué.
I think basic is very important.

ママ友 workshop in Campbell

今日は「ママ友de広場」というお母さんのための
単発習い事教室のお手伝いに伺いました。

I went to teach Hawaiian Quilt in the class "Mama tomo de hiroba".



参加者全員日本人ママさん（日本人は器用です）である事
そして時間も４時間近くあったので
パンプキンのポットホルダーを作りました。
季節柄ハロウィーンらしくお顔もつけて。

I provided Pumpkin potholder kit today.
It's Halloween season, the pumpkin is Jack- o-lantan.



日頃自分の時間をちゃんと持つ事が出来ないママさんにとって
とても素敵な企画です。
私も参加させていただき光栄です。

This is very good opportunity for mothers who are not able to have their own time usually.
There are baby sitters, and mothers can concentrate their quilting
I'm glad to be cooperate this.
