秋なのよね〜季節感ないけど

季節感がないから。。。
というのを言い訳に😅

10月に入って急に秋のキルトを作ろうと思い立ち
あまりハロウィンには特化しないデザインを考え
TVやYouTube 見ながらの隙間時間でアップリケに1週間かかってしまいました。
まだ裏布も探してないし、今月中には仕上がりそうもありませんなあ〜😅

相変わらず計画性なく
反省。。。

マイペースでいきます😊

ちなみに実際の色はソリッドカラーのオレンジとこげ茶
むら染めはあまり好きではありません。
経過年数で馴染んだ色が好きだから💕

That's my excuse😅.

In October, I suddenly decided to make an autumn quilt

I thought of a design not so Halloween-specific.

It took me a week to applique it in my spare time while watching TV and YouTube.

I haven't even found the backing fabric yet, and I don't think I'll be able to finish it by the end of this month 😅.

As usual, I don't have a plan.😅.

I'm going at my own pace 😊.

By the way, the actual colors are solid orange and dark brown.

I don't like to use uneven dyeing.

I like the colors that blend in over the years 💕.

青空の下

 今日キルトレッスンの後のワイキキカラカウア通り

観光客はやはり少ないです。

After finishing the Hawaiian quilt lesson, I walked on Kalakaua Avenue.

However, there were not so many tourists.

それでもこの青空の下、元気に歩けることに感謝です。

I appreciate I can walk with my health body under this beautiful blue sky.

ウォールアートはカカアコは有名だけど
街中の壁には結構至る所に絵が描かれていて
アートといえば聞こえがいいけど
全てセンスがいいとは思えない物も。。。。個人的見解😅

生配信で一緒に踊りましょう！

 先月からトライしているインスタライブ。
ハワイオアフ島からライブでフラのレッスンをしています。

スケジュールは
ハワイ時間　火曜日午後３時半から
日本時間　　水曜日午前１０時半から

時間は１回３０分だけで基礎のステップ練習などは行わず、本編？のみでぎゅっとコンパクトに行っています。😁

10月の課題曲はPo La'ila'i

フラダンサーにはお馴染みの曲なので既に踊ったことがある方も多いと思いますが

Instagram live that I have been trying since last month.

I have a live hula lesson from Oahu, Hawaii.

This is the schedule 

Hawaii time: Tuesday from 3:30 pm

Japan time:  Wednesday from 10:30 

The time is only 30 minutes at a time, so I skip the warm up and the practice of basic step, 😁

The song for October is Po La'ila'i

It's a song that hula dancers are familiar with, so I think many people have already danced.

プロの音色❣️

偶然にも、ウクレレ奏者との共演が続いた9月。

２回目はシェラトンワイキキで行っているプペル活動で、ハーブオータJrさんとの共演でした。私たちの活動にゲストで来てくださった時、ぶっつけ本番でプペルのフラを踊らせていただきました。

Coincidentally, in September,  I got a many opportunities to perform with the ukulele player.

My second time was a Poupel activity at Sheraton Waikiki  with Herb Ohta Jr. 

When he came to our activity as a guest, I danced hula with his playing.

やはりプロの音色は本当に美しい〜です。

Of course, his ukulele sound was awesome!!

ウクレレの歴史

ハワイアンミュージックに欠かせない楽器と言えばウクレレ

今やハワイの代表的な楽器ですが、その歴史を紐解くと、1879年8月23日ホノルル港に到着したポルトガルからの移民が持ち込んだ弦楽器 (Machete, Braguinha,etc) がウクレレの原型とされています。

2012年に出版された「The 'Ukulele A History」にはそのいきさつなどが書かれています。

ギターは６弦ですが、その後５弦のTaro Patch Guitar 、そして４弦の'Ukulele と形を変え、家具職人によってコアの木で制作されるようになります。

当時、元のポルトガルの弦楽器の名前やハワイ語でPila Liilii（小さい弦楽器）と呼ばれていたそうですが、ウクレレという名前に定着した由来をご存知でしょうか？

もっともよく知られているのは、ウクレレを演奏する奏者の早い手の動きが、まるでノミが跳ねているようだからという説のように思いますが

Edward William Purvisというカラカウア王の側近は小柄でよく働き動き回ることから'Ukuleleというニックネームで親しまれ、彼が王にウクレレを紹介し、弾き方を教えたことから楽器にその愛称がつけられたという説もあります。

また、音楽の才能に長けていたリリウオカラニ女王は「到来した弦楽器」という意味でそう呼んだとも言われているそうです。

カラカウア王のウクレレ奏者やウクレレメーカーへの積極的な支援など、音楽を愛したハワイの王族の影響もあり、ウクレレはハワイに広まっていったんですね。

 早いもので今年もあと４ヶ月

ここからは季節柄イベント続きになり年末に向かいますね。ただ、今年もまだパンデミックが続いているので、例年のイベントはまだオンラインでという事が多そうです。

そんな中、フラはお教室での対面レッスン、youtubeのレッスン動画、インスタライブ、オンラインレッスンと全て課題曲が違います。それに加えて来週末にワイキキで行われるサンセットライブに出演させていただくことになり、今日はそのリハーサルでした。

I cannot believe!!  Septenber is begining,  another 4 months left in this year

Seasonal events will continue and we will head to the end of the year. However, since the pandemic is still active, it seems that the annual event is still online.

As for me, my hula work is quite busy.  In person lessons in the classroom, youtube lesson videos, instagram live, and online lessons, everything is different songs. In addition to that, I will be performing at the Sunset Live in Waikiki next weekend, and today was the rehearsal.

週末にはプペル（ハワイで映画『えんとつ町のプペル』を見ようという活動の生配信にて）のフラレッスンもあり、頭の中は日替わりで違う曲が入れ替わり立ち代わり。。。

In addition, I have a hula lesson at Ukulele meet up of weekend also, so everyday different songs come next to next in my head.

まだまだ、活躍の場があるというのは本当にありがたいことです。
