ラストスパートでもう一つ one more quilt!

本日のサラトガクラスの完成品は、一週間後が出産予定日のCさんがあっという間に完成させたサイコロポーチです。オムツ入れに使うために大きめサイズで作られました。
オムツ以外にも着替えやおもちゃなど、ずっと重宝に使えそうです。

Today's finished quilt at Saratoga class is diaper case. Ms. C who one week later is expected date, finished this very quickly .



そして、出産前にもう一つ取り掛かるのが、こちらの母子手帳カバー。
さて、赤ちゃんとどっちが先かな？

She gets going one more quilt, mother's notebook cover.
Which one is early? completion or baby?

小さな依頼主 adorable client

本日のクラスの完成品は息子さんの小ぶりの枕カバー。
こちらのパターンは、ぺイズリー柄でハワイアンキルトらしく対称性のあるものというご希望だったので、ぺイズリーを組み合わせ、お花のようなデザインにしました。

Today's finished quilt is pillow case.
Mana got request for a quilt  of paisley motif, and she fitted many paisley together, and designed this imaginary flower.

次々と仕上がるNさんの作品はみんな息子さんのご依頼。

Ms. N finished her son's quilt one after another.




そして次は。。。。またまた息子さんのご希望で働く車シリーズです。
完成が楽しみです。

クパティノエルアクラスでは、お二人がこの夏ご帰国されます。
今日がお二人の最後のレッスン、日本へお供させていただくキットをお持ちしました。
アップリケが大好きなAさんはいつも丁寧に針を進めてくださいました。
そして、このクラスを取りまとめてくださったNさんはとても積極的にたくさん作品を作って下さいました。

Two ladies return to Japan this summer from Cupertino class, and today was last lesson for them.
Ms. A who really likes the process of appliqué,  always did her job carefully.
Ms. N who made up this class, made a lot of works positively.




”ANELAの素敵なキルトをもっと広めて欲しいです” と書かれたカードを頂戴し、ウルッ。。。
お別れは寂しいけど、ANELAの輪がまた一つ広がるのですから、 ”やっぱりANELAのデザインが好き” と言ってもらえるよう頑張ろうと思います。本当に素敵なメッセージをありがとうございました。

Mana received the card with heartwarming message.....it makes her happy, but it is not easy to say good-by.   However,  Mana thinks ANELA has a wide circle of ohana.....Mahalo.




今日は皆さんのお子さんたちも大集合。
最後にまるで記者会見のように写真を撮ってもらいました。

息子のために for my boy

本日のクパティノクラスでは、先月いただいていたご依頼の働く車シリーズのデッサンを見ていただき、最終的に何色にするかを決定いたしました。
できるだけアップリケがしやすいようデザインしましたが、細かいところもあります。
Nさんは息子のために頑張ります！とおっしゃっていました。

Today's class.
Mana showed the design of dump truck etc, and helped to decide those colors.
Ms. N pledges effort to make this quilt for her dear son.





６月に入っていよいよ卒業シーズン。
今年はシガーレイでGraduation lei を作ってみました。このタイプはしっかりしているので、男の子にぴったりかもしれません。近くで見るとちょっと爬虫類っぽいですけど。。。成長した息子の門出のために。

The graduation season began.
Mana made this cigar lei for her younger son. It looks reptile but since it is solid, good for boys.
Congratulations! all seniors!!

幸せな赤ちゃん

サラトガクラスで、着々と進められていたベビーキルトが、先日完成しました！！
出産までに間に合わせたいと頑張ったCさん。ちょうど一ヶ月での仕上がりです。

Ms. C finished her baby's quilt in one month.



そして、残りの一ヶ月を利用しておむつ入れの制作にも取り掛かったところ、こちらも一日でアップリケを終えられたそうです。出来上がりが楽しみです。

She has begun to make a diaper porch yesterday, and already finished appliqué in one day.




そして日本で出産されるNさんも仕上げの確認のメールが届き、完成です。
どちらの赤ちゃんも素敵なママにかわいいキルトを用意してもらって、幸せですね〜

Ms. N who returned Japan for delivery, sent email to Mana for asking how to finish the quilt.
Both babies have wonderful mom who prepare such a beautiful quilt, are very happy.

思いを込めて put thought into

本日のクラスではまた新しいキルトがスタートしました。
ロイヤルキルトを小さめにアレンジし、オアフ島の花であるイリマも入れてほしいというご要望でした。故人を偲んで制作されるそうです。

Today's lesson. Ms. Y.T started a new quilt today. She wanted to make a small royal quilt with Ilima flower for tributing to the memory of the deceased.




そして、ピッチを上げて制作されているベビーキルトもデザインキルトが半分程終わりました。プルメリアの葉らしいキルトが入り、ますます表情が豊かになりました。^^

Ms. C speeds up her pace and makes baby's quilt.  She almost finish design quilt, the quilt changed expressively.

アロハなイベントで May Day Festival

今日はPleasanton で行われたMay Day Festival にHula club が参加して来ました。
２日間行われたこのイベントはアロハでいっぱい。とても大勢の人達でにぎわっていたのでビックリしました。。。。

 Hula club ANELA participated May day festival in Pleasanton. The event was full with people.

今回は７曲、約２０分ほどのパフォーマンス, コスチュームチェンジもあり頑張りました。
ANELAからの参加人数は少なかったのですが、とても楽しいイベントだったので、来年もまた参加出来たらいいなあと思います。

ANELA performed seven songs for 20minutes, during performance, they changed their costume also.
Only a few members participated this time, but the event was great, so Mana wants to participate this event again in next year with all of member.
