 本日のキルトはこちらのファーストキルトです。

しばらくの間ハワイにご滞在中のNさんの作品。Nさんの雰囲気が本当にキルトに投影されているような素敵な初回作品となりました。はなまる〜〜🌸

次回はクッションカバーやキッチンで使えるものを作りたい！とのこと、楽しみですね。

Lā kūʻokoʻa を祝っている。。。🌋

今日11月28日はハワイにとって、とても大切な日、Lā kūʻokoʻaです。

Lā kūʻokoʻaはハワイの主権と独立を記念して１８４３年に初めて祝われたハワイ王国の祭日。

時はKamehameha 3世の治世の間、ハワイ王国初の外交官Timoteo Ha'alilio はWilliam Richards と共にミッションを遂行、その努力によって🇺🇸、🇬🇧、🇫🇷がハワイの独立を公式に認めた年です。

Ha'alilio はハワイへの帰路で亡くなりますが、その使命を果たし、その後５０年にわたりハワイの独立が祝われることになったのです。

ハワイの転覆と合衆国への併合後、人々の意識から遠ざかっていたこの日。

まさに女神ペレが人々に知らしめるのかの如くMauna loaの噴火が起こったのです🌋

Today, November 28, is Lā kūʻokoʻa, a very important day for Hawaiʻi.

Lā kūʻokoʻa is a holiday of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, first celebrated in 1843 to commemorate Hawaiian sovereignty and independence.

During the reign of King Kamehameha III, Timoteo Haʻalilio, the first diplomat of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, along with William Richards, carried out the mission, and through their efforts, the United States, England, and France officially recognized Hawaiʻi's independence.

Ha'alilio would passed away on his way back to Hawaii, but he fulfilled his mission and Hawaii's independence would be celebrated for the next 50 years.

After Hawaii was overthrown and annexed by the United States, this day was far from people's consciousness.

The eruption of Mauna Loa was as if the goddess Pele had made the day known to the people.The mystery of Hawaii is still amazing!

For some reason it makes me hot in the pit of my stomach too❤️🔥It's not heartburn🤣

海でも、街でも、夏でも、冬でも。。。

 キルティングが終わっても最後の仕立てをせずに寝かしているものがいくつか。。。💦

本日のキルトはこちらのジンジャーのバッグです。

ビニールのバッグのインサートとして作ったので、雨の多い今のハワイでも気にせず持つことができます。

やっぱり完成品はとってもかわいい〜（自画自賛😅）

夏でも冬でもしっくりくるこの色合わせ、かなりお気に入りになりそうです！

After quilting, several items are laid down without final sewing: ......... 💦.

Today's quilt is this ginger pattern bag.

I made it as an insert bag for a plastic bag so that I can carry it around without worrying about the rainy season in Hawaii.

It's very cute (self-praise 😅).

This color combination will be my favorite because it goes well in both summer and winter!

日本でも活躍しそうな。。。

 本日のキルトはこちらのバッグです。

見本作品をご覧になり、シックな茶系で製作されました。

ワイキキの外が明るくて、お部屋での撮影があまり綺麗にできず残念。

現物はもっと素敵です。はなまる〜👜

しばらく日本へご帰国されるので、その間に製作できるようポーチなどのキットを用意いたしました。

アシスタントもお手伝い？？？？かな

Today's quilt is this bag.

It was made in a chic brown color after she saw a sample piece.

It's too bad it was so bright outside in Waikiki that I couldn't get a better shot in the room

The actual product is much nicer. Hanamaru~👜

And since she will be back in Japan for a while, I prepared some kits for her to make pouches and other items during her stay.

186回目のお誕生日

 11月16日はカラーカウア王のお誕生日です。

イオラニ宮殿は王の１８６回目のお誕生日をお祝いするためにこのように飾られています。

正面の左側はみなさんよくご存知のハワイ王国 (ハワイ州)の旗 Ka Hae Hawaii、１８４５年カメハメは3世によって国旗と決められたもの。

右側の白い旗はカラーカウア王自身のロイヤルスタンダード

そして宮殿の上には２０１４年に復活したカラーカウア王の時代に使われていたロイヤルスタンダードがたなびいていました。

November 16th is King Kalakaua's birthday.

Iolani Palace is decorated like this to celebrate the King's 186th birthday.

On the left in the front is the well-known flag of the Kingdom of Hawaii (State of Hawaii), Ka Hae Hawaii, which was declared the national flag by King Kamehameha III in 1845.

The white flag on the right is King Kalakaua's own royal standard.

And on top of the palace fluttered the Royal Standard used during the reign of King Kalakaua, which was restored in 2014.

自然のパワーを感じながら

 今日のフラも屋外、ダイヤモンドヘッドを眺めながらのレッスンは本当に気持ちよかったです。ku'u pua Awapuhi が一通り終わったので、みなさんの確認のためビデオを撮りました。

今月から年末年始まで、日本に一時帰国される方が多く参加者はぐっと減るのですが、その分細かいお話もでき、みなさん「へえ〜、ほ〜、はあ〜」の連続😁

どんな形でもやはりレッスンは楽しく、実りあるものに！ですね。

今日は先週作ったブーゲンビリアのクウペエを身につけていきました。みなさんもらうことは多いけれど、作る機会は意外と少ないようなので、レイについても現物をお持ちして時々お話ししています。

お花を身に着けると気分も上がります❣️どんなに高い宝石にも負けない生花のパワーです。

Today's hula lesson was held outdoors with a view of Diamond Head, and it was really nice.

The number of haumana will be decreasing from this month until the New Year's holiday, but we were able to talk about the details  and everyone kept saying "Oh! I got it" 😁.

No matter what the lesson takes, it should be fun and fruitful! .

Today I put the bougainvillea kupee on that I made it last week. Everyone in Hawaii often receive lei, but they don't seem to have many opportunities to make them.

Wearing flowers makes us feel better❣️The power of fresh flowers is as strong as even the most expensive jewelry.

I received a photo, saying, "I finally bought the pillow filler and decorated them in my room"

They are perfect for the living room in Hawaii.
