今は、何でもPCで検索すれば色んな情報があっという間に手に入る便利な時代です。
検索すれば数えきれないほどの様々なデザインを見る事が出来ます。
しかし、そこにキルトが存在する限り、それは誰かの作品でありそのデザインには著作権があることを忘れてはいけません。

You can find a ton of Hawaiian quilt patterns on your PC.
However, you must never forget copyright subsists in all quilt patterns on the site.
お教室にいらしている方の中には、ご自分で検索された物と同じ物が作りたいとおっしゃる方もいらっしゃいます。もちろん私のオリジナルデザインを製作していただくのが正直言ってうれしいのですが、私は、自分が作りたい物を作るのが一番と考えているので、そのような依頼があった時はお引き受けしています。いただいた画像からパターンをおこし、キットを制作しますが、著作権については必ず説明をし、あくまでもパーソナルユースである事を確認させていただいています。
Someone in my quilt class want to make the same quilt that she found it on the site. Of course, I'm happy if everybody choose my original pattern, but my motto is to make a quilt that oneself wants to make. When I got request of the copy of existing quilt, I accept it and prepare the kit, BUT I confirm the quilt is for personal use only.
同様にハワイの事についても、簡単に色々知る事が出来ます。
でも中には簡単に手に入れた情報をそのまま聞き伝えている事も多いように感じます。ハワイ好きがたくさんいるのは素敵な事ですが、ハワイの文化や歴史に対してきちんと敬意の念を持ち情報が発信されるといいなと思います。あくまでも個人的な意見ですが、「アロハとは○○○です」とさらっと言葉で説明できる事ではない、気がします。
In a similar way, a flood of information about Hawaii by people who like Hawaii very much. However, most are mere second-handednesses. It's good thing that there are many Hawaiian freak, but then again, it's very important respecting Hawaiian culture and history and sending information.
It's just my opinion, it's not easy to explain what is "Aloha"
これからも色々吸収して、研究して、たくさ〜ん練習して、きちんと消化できた物をお伝えできるよう努力して行きます。
