日本から久しぶりにSさんがご連絡下さいました。

帰国時にお持ち帰りになった未完成のキルト、お子さんの小学校で行われるPTAの作品展覧会に出展しますとのご報告でした。もうちょっと、というところでそのままになっていたのを、息子さんの一言で完成、出展と決意されたそうです。とても素敵ですね。

こちらの作品はマイレをシンプルにサークルにしたミニフレーム。日本間に飾っていただいても違和感がないキルトです。

ANELA got message from Japan today. Ms. S  decided to show her quilts at a PTA's show. 

The word of her son became her motivation. great!   This pattern is very simple maile leaf, it is the matching quilt  for  Japanese tatami room.

さてANELAも、今週末は２作品ほどキルトフェスティバルに参加しています。明日は会場に足を運んで色々素敵な作品を見てこようと思います。

この写真はベストオブショーを受賞した作品。やはりカラフル、独創的そして芸術です。

フェスティバルでたくさん刺激をもらえそう。。。楽しみです。またご報告いたします。

ANELA participates in Pacific International Quilt Festival this weekend. Mana is going to watch a lot of beautiful quilts tomorrow.

This is the winner for Best of Show at PIQF ... "Fern Rising" by Claudia Pfeil.  It is very colorful, creative and artistic. Maybe, get a lot of stimulation at the show..... cannot wait.
