間に合っても間に合わなくても。。 in time or not in time

あと1週間でクリスマス。早いもので２０１５年ももうすぐ終わりです。
本日のクラスにお持ちしたのは７５センチ四方のクリスマスキルト２枚です。サンタクロースのデザインはクリスマス専用ではありますが、モンステラのデザインは通年飾れるデザインなので、じっくり取り掛かっていただきたいですね。完成が楽しみです！

It is Christmas for one more week, there are few days rest of 2015.
Mana brought two kits that are christmas quilt, to today's class. One of these is Santa Claus motif, another is monstera motif that is able to decorate all year.

そして、フラでもご活躍のNさんのストッキング。仕上げが終わり、無事完成のご報告が昨晩届きました。クリスマスに間に合ってよかったです！はなまる〜〜

Ms.N who participate actively in hula, finished this Christmas stocking. She sent this pic last night.

ホリデーイベント！ holiday fest 2015.

第２回Aloha Poly Holiday Fest がサンフランシスコ、ゴールデンゲートパークで行われANELAも参加してきました。昨年のHoliday Fest がANELAにとって初イベントだったので、メンバーにとっては思い出深いもの。今年はイベント直前で新しいメンバーや子供たちも参加することになり、大人１０人,子供５人の衣装作り、クリスマスソングも４曲交えた演目の練習と大忙し。でもその甲斐があって、とても賑やかに華やかに、そして楽しく終えることができました。みんなはなまる〜〜〜

みんな揃って完成！

今年の秋から始まったクラス(lehua)では、すでに２作品目に取り掛かられているのですが、本日参加者全員のファーストキルトが完成したので記念撮影です。
いつも楽しいおしゃべりの耐えないこのクラス、写真を撮るときもとても賑やか。作品はシックにとても素敵に仕上がりました。はなまる〜

All members of 'ekolu class already started second quilt.  Mana took memorial shot of their first quilt today.  Because they are fun-loving folks, they are always joyous even when taking photos.
As contrasted to them, their first quilts are very muted and chic.  Good job!!

子供がいっぱい！ Keiki!!

今月から、新しいレッスンがスタート、そして来年からメインクラスも再開予定です。
新しいクラスはみんな赤ちゃん連れのママさんたち。お子さんをあやしながらでなかなか集中できないのですが、それでも少しづつキルトを楽しんでくださっています。

New quilt class starts from this month, and main class starts again from next month. All of the new class's members bring their babies, and they enjoy their quilts little by little, while comforting their babies.



フラクラブも新メンバーが増えました。そしてこちらも来年から新しいレッスンが始まります。来週末に行われるイベントに子供たちと新メンバーも参加することになり、新しいPa'u をたくさん縫いました。みんなでお揃いのPa'u は本当に可愛い。今日はコスチュームをつけて元気に練習しました。当日が楽しみです。

Four new members joined in Hula club ANELA, and new class will start from next month.
Five keiki join in the next event, and new members join in it too.  They wore new pa'u and practiced today.......so pretty!!




休日の明日も1日キルトキットや、衣装アクセサリーの製作に追われそうですが、ANELAに関わってくださる方と一緒に楽しめることに感謝！！です。

Tomorrow is Sunday, Mana may press for time to make quilt kits, accessories and costume, all day.
She is grateful to enjoying with them.

出会いと別れ hello & good-by

サンノゼベイエリアも急に寒くなり、本格的な冬がやってきました。
イベントシーズンでもあるので、モチーフキルトのご依頼が続いたり、有難くも急増したフラのメンバーのため大量のPa'u 作りに取り掛かかったりと、あまり余裕がないのですが、こんな小さなキルトを骨休みに作っています。

The weather changed cool suddenly.... It is onset of a full-fledged winter.

Mana get many requests of kit, but all of these were not typical Hawaiian quilt pattern.

Also, Mana encountered many new hula members, and began to make a lot of pa'u skirts. That's why Mana doesn't have enough time for making quilt, but she is making this mini quilt for taking her break.

新しい出会いもあれば、またお別れもあり。キルトもフラも今月お一人づつご帰国です。。。(; ;)
今日はクパティノクラスのIさん最後の日。２年ほど前にご参加くださったワークショップをきっかけに、今の出張レッスンが始まりました。いつもANELAのデザインを信用して、キットの依頼してくださったのがありがたく、楽しませていただきました。ご帰国にもANELA のキットが幾つかお供致します。これからも連絡いただけるのをお待ちしております。(^ ^)/``

Mana said hello to new members, also said good-by to existing members. Today was the last day for Ms. I.  She totally trusted Mana's design and always left all the decision-making to. She brings many kits of ANELA to Japan.  Mana is looking forward to getting her contact.

もう、できた！ finish!!

月曜日のクラスで最終仕上げを残すのみとなっていたSさんのバッグが、昨夜完成したとの報告をいただきました。自称”凝り性”とおっしゃるSさんですが、キットをお渡ししてから２ヶ月、本当にテンポよく完成することができました。フラやジムへ行く時にとても重宝しそうなバッグです。おっきなはなまる〜

Ms. S almost have been finished her quilt bag on Monday. She said she is an enthusiast, and she completed it just only two months. Very good job!!

シーズンもの season

本日のクパティノクラスの完成品です。
マイペースにコツコツと取り組んでいたMさん、少しづつコツをつかんでいかれたのがわかる作品です。ご本人のお人柄のようにふんわりと優しいイメージのバージンキルト大切にしていただきたいですね。はなまる〜

Ms. M finished her first quilt!! The work shows her progress well, that's why the first quilt is very precious for quilters. Good job!!



そしてこちらは来月ご帰国予定のIさんご依頼のキットたち。クリスマスなどのシーズンものと、通年飾れるものを同じサイズで、そしてティッシュボックスケースのキットをご用意いたしました。これで日本のお宅にも、ハワイアンキルト（しかもANELAのキルト）をいつも身近に置いていただくことができて嬉しいです。ご帰国されるのは寂しいですが、完成報告をいただけるのを楽しみにしています。

These are kits for Ms. I who will return to Japan next month. Halloween, Christmas, and seasonless one, also tissue box case. She will be always able to be with Hawaiian quilt.......Mana feels lonely but she is looking forward to hearing completion.
