wear your lei !

自宅で過ごすようになってから庭のブーゲンビリアが咲き誇っています。

Bougainvillea in the back yard has been in full bloom for this one month since shelter in place started.

せっかくなので、Hiliスタイルでレイ作り。
カリフォルニアの環境でティーは育たず、お花屋さんにお願いしないと手に入りませんが今はそれもできないので、今日はトラッシュバッグを代用しました。

I made a lei in Hili style, today.
It is impossible to grow Ti leaf in the California environment and I can't get it unless I ask a flower shop, but I can't do it now, so I used the trash bag instead.




自然に任せて育っているので、穂はあまり大きくないし、色も一色しかないので出来上がりはこんな感じ。チープなトラッシュバッグを使ったせいで引っ張ると伸びるし、緩みやすいし、であまり綺麗な完成ではありませんが、それでも生花のレイはやはりいいものです。

There is only one color in my garden, so it looks like this. The cheap trash bag I used today makes it stretch when pulled, and it's easy to loosen, so it's not a very beautiful finish, but the fresh flower lei makes me happy.

調子に乗って、今度は前庭に咲き誇っていたアルストロメリアで作り始めたのですが。。。。小さな虫が出てきたので、途中でやめました。。。

I also started to make lei with Alstroemeria, which was in full bloom in the front yard. .. .. .. However, many tiny insects came out from flowers, so I stopped to make a lei on the way. .. ..




アシスタントのレアちゃんにモデルをお願いしましたが、なんだかライオンキングみたいになってしまいましたね。笑
SIP中だけど、楽しい週末の過ごし方です！
